INTERNATIONA UNIVERSITY SIGNED MOU WITH SOCIAL BUSINESS CREATION VIETNAM HUB
In the evening of Ferbruary 22nd, 2023, International University signed the MOU with Social Business Creation (SBC) Vietnam Hub. The event was part of the “Kick off and Connecting Day of Social Business Creation 2023.”
Prof. Le Van Canh – Vice-President of IU and Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thi Hiep – Dean of School of Biomedical Engineering represented the University in this signing ceremony. Representatives from our partners are the Board of Rectors of Foreign Trade University Hanoi (the management unit of SBC Hub in Vietnam), along with representatives of ministries, governmental departments, international organizations, universities, businesses and Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung – Deputy Director General of Department of Politics and Students Affairs of MoET, Mr. Vo Xuan Hoai – Deputy Director of National Innovation Centre, Ms. Nguyen Hoai Chau – Representative from Embassy of Canada to Vietnam, Prof. Thai Thi Thanh Mai – Professor at HEC Montreal University and Director of Global SBC program, etc. and the participants of press agencies, experts and students.

Through this signing, International University was officially becoming a part of the SBC Hub’s network in Vietnam to spread SBC’s missions, promoting the start-up and innovation spirits of students through community services, fulfilling the sustainable development goals by the United Nations.
At the event, representatives of SBC Vietnam Hub shared all the details about the network, SBC Competition 2022’s achievements, also the goals, operation procedure and rights for participants of SBC Competition 2023.

International University has taken part in activities organized by SBC Competition since 2021 with various notable achievements such as: 01 project won the Global First prize 2021, 01 project made it to the TOP 4 global 2022, International University is listed in the TOP 5 Institutional Prizes for 2 consecutive years, contributing 2 experts to the competition.
For the SBC Competition 2023, International University will assign personnel to join the network of experts and recruit potential projects to join the competition.
| Social Business Creation (SBC) is an innovative global platform that promotes social businesses as a competition initialized, organized and academically aided by HEC Montréal (Canada) and Prof. Muhammad Yunus, 2006 Noble Peace laureate. The competition aims at executing 17 sustainable development goals by the UN. As of today, SBC consists of 8 representatives from many countries worldwide such as Canada, Mexico, Germany, Argentina, India, Bangladesh, and Bolivia, attracting partcipation from 80 universities from more than 20 countries worldwide. |
