Assoc. Prof. Tran Tien Khoa – President of IU delivered the welcoming speech at the 14th ACIIDS Conference.
In the Opening Ceremony, the First Keynote lecture was given by Professor Tzung-Pei Hong, adistinguished and chair professor at the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National University of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, also a professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, National Sun Yat-sen University, Taiwan, entitled: “Duality of Mining Problems”. Frequent-itemset mining and erasable-itemset mining are two commonly seen and practical techniques for finding different useful itemsets in data mining. Although the two mining techniques seem to be different and independent, his research showed that they are actually equivalent to each other.
Prof. Tzung-Pei Hong – the distinguished and chair professor at the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National University of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, also a professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, National Sun Yat-sen University, Taiwan delivered his Keynote Lecture.
The remaining events of the Conference was later held at REX Hotel.
