INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY HELD THE SEMINAR “SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY IN THE DIRECTION OF BECOMING A RESEARCH UNIVERSITY”

On the occasion of the anniversary of Vietnam Science and Technology Day; the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Science and Technology; and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM). On April 12, 2024, International University (IU) held a seminar on Science and Technology 2024 with the topic: “Science and Technology in the direction of becoming a research university”.

This event provides opportunities for information exchange, discussion, and knowledge sharing on the construction and development of research universities, as well as emphasizing the important role of investment and Human Resource Development in Science and Technology to meet the needs of the global innovation process.

Sáng nay, ngày 12/4/2024, trường ĐHQT đã tổ chức Tọa đàm Khoa học và Công nghệ năm 2024 với chủ đề: “Khoa học và Công nghệ trong định hướng trở thành trường Đại học nghiên cứu”

Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Duc Anh Vu, Vice-President of International University, gave an opening speech at the seminar.

The participants were managers from the Science and Technology Departments – Ho Chi Minh City, National University (VNU-HCM), Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, Department of Intellectual Property, and National Science and Technology Development Fund.

Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Thanh Cong – Deputy Head of the VNU-HCM Science and Technology Committee – presented the report with the topic: “The strategy of development of IEC and IEC at VNU – HCM in the period 2021-2030, vision to 2045 and the trend of startup universities in the world”.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Suong – acting head of the Scientific Management Department of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology – presented the topic: “Deploying research centers of international standards.”

Ms. Nguyen Thi My An – Head of the Project Department, National Science and Technology Development Fund – with the report: “The grants and support programs of the National Science and Technology Development Fund.”

Mr. Nguyen Van Lam – Deputy Head of Department, Department of Biology – Agriculture, Center for Patent Appraisal, Department of Intellectual Property – reported on: “Intellectual Property Management”.

Also participating in answering the discussion questions wereDr. Le Thanh Minh – Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, HCMC, and Mr. Phan Thanh Hai – Director of the Center for Patent Appraisal, Department of Intellectual Property.

The enthusiastic discussion session took place with the active participation of International University Teachers and speakers.
