INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY SIGNS MOA WITH MACQUARIE UNIVERSITY (AUSTRALIA)
On November 21st, 2022, International University (IU) signed the MOA with Macquarie University (Australia). Upon this agreement, both parties come to execute 6 twinning programs with a new model 2+1+1.
This MOA marks the long lasting cooperation between the two universities and the restless efforts of Schools, Departments, and involved offices at IU. The MOA also enables the School of Business Administration, School of Information Technology, School of Economics, Finance, and Accounting, and School of Languages to connect and execute 06 Twining Programs. These includes Business Administration (2+1+1), Finance (2+1+1), Accounting (2+1+1), English Linguistics and Literature (2+2+1), Information Technology (2+1+1) and Commerce (2+1.5+1).

The above programs are expected to bring many benefits to IU students. Specifically, students will spend their first two years at IU, depending on their chosen major. Then, the students can transfer to Australia for their 2nd phase at Macquarie University. There, it only takes them onemore year to complete their undergraduate program. Later, students can choose to continue with the Master program at Macquarie University after another year. With the 2+2+1 program of English Linguistics and Literature major and 2+1.5+1 program of Commerce, the students may take more than one year to finish their degree at Macquarie University, compared to other programs. This twinning program will help students to cut short their studying time and expenses. This is also the most crucial feature of this MOA as the students may have the opportunities to advance to the Master program at Macquarie University. Furthermore, Macquarie University will exempt students who has spent 2 years at IU from any academic English proficiency requirements.

More importantly, Macquarie University will also grant IU students with various scholarships such as ASEAN Early Acceptance Scholarship – with the total of 10.000 AUD/year (across the program), ASEAN Partner Scholarship – with the total of 15.000 USD/ year (across the program), Vice-Chancellor International Scholarship (VCIS) – with the total of 10.000 USD, English Language Scholarship which cover 50% of the ELC tuition fees for 10 weeks at most,…
