INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY WELCOMES MORE THAN 150 STUDENTS AND RESEARCHERS IN 2023
On the afternoon of September 29, 2023, International University (VNU-HCM) solemnly held the Opening Ceremony of the first and second batches of the 2023 Postgraduate training program. This year, the school welcomed 156 Postgraduate students and researchers.
Since 2014, International University has trained 824 Masters and PhDs. Currently, International University’s postgraduate training system has 12 Master’s training programs and 5 PhD training programs.

Presenting at the Opening Ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Duc Anh Vu – Vice President of IU – said: “In just a short time, IU will officially turn 20 years old.We are very proud that the university has built the first public university to achieve international standards recognized by MOET, AUN-QA and ASIIN standards. Therefore, for IU to develop further, let’s work together to make a difference in line with our slogan: Together We Make Differences”. At the same time, Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Duc Anh Vu also sent a message to students and postgraduates to try to invest in knowledge because this is the best investment. “Doctorate and Master’s degrees do not bring you success, but setting goals for those degrees creates experience and knowledge value. I wish students and postgraduates to build a solid foundation of knowledge and skills for their future careers” – Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Duc Anh Vu emphasized.

Also, at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Dinh Minh Tri – Head of the Office of Graduate Affairs – gave a quick report on the 2023 postgraduate program enrollment. The work is organized rigorously, meticulously, transparently, equitably, and ensures quality in accordance with regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. Associate Professor, Dr. Le Dinh Minh Tri announced and congratulated 156 students (including 30 doctoral students and 126 master’s students) who were admitted to International University. In addition, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Dinh Minh Tri also shared some necessary information for students and postgraduates during their time studying at the school such as training programs, contact channels, training time, maximum training extension time, English output standards, etc. so that the freshmenand postgraduates can understand and grasp the school’s rules and regulations.

In order to improve the quality of entry and encourage students and postgraduates who have achieved excellent results in the last two admission rounds, International University has awarded partial and full admission scholarships to freshmen and postgraduates in the fields of Engineering, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Business Administration, etc.

Presenting as the representative of the new postgraduate students in 2023, PhD candidate Huynh Thi Phuong Lan – majoring in Business Administration, who is also the only person to receive a full scholarship in the first and second postgraduate admissions in 2023 – was filled with emotion: “My fellow students and I have researched a lot of information and chosen International University as a place to study and research because I see that the school has a professional learning environment including learning with English as the medium of instruction, highly qualified teachers, plenty scholarship policies, international standard training quality, etc., For this reason, we are very secure and proud when studying at the school. The upcoming journey of study and research will be difficult and arduous, but we promise to always be steadfast, strive to study and practice to achieve the best results.”
