NANO NEEM PROJECT CONTINUES TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION WITH THE SECOND PRIZE OF TECHFEST VIETNAM 2021
On the morning of December 15th, 2021, the Final of the National Innovation Startup Talent Competition – TECHFEST 2021 – with the theme “Innovation – Creating the Future” was officially held at both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. TOP 10 competitions have entered the final round full of challenges after many months of fighting. In the end, NanoNeem of International University won the second prize.
International University (HCM-VNU)’s project NANO NEEM – a plant protection drug that helps to solve all problems related to pests and diseases for plants, especially benign and friendly to the environment – has been excellently participated in the TOP 10 and competed in the Final Round. This project is led by Dr. Duong Nguyen Hong Nhung (Lecturer of the Faculty of Biotechnology) as the team leader and students from the Faculty of Biotechnology, International University.
At the final round, each project has 8 minutes to present, show product introduction videos and answer questions from the Jury and Technology Advisors. With a potential business model, confident presentation and convincing answers, NANO NEEM excellently won 1st runner-up in the end.

Previously, NANO NEEM was honored as the champion of the HACK4GROWTH Global Innovation Contest and the “global champion” of the “Social Business Innovation 2021” contest held in Canada.
| The National Innovation Startup Talent Competition is within the framework of TECHFEST, which will take place from September 16th, 2021 to December 15th, 2021. Enrolling to the contest, participating businesses have the opportunity to receive attractive financial prizes and support packages with a total value of up to: 500,000 USD, have the opportunity to interact with more than 50 domestic and international funds and investors throughout the competition rounds, sponsored by the media, promoted by a network of more than 200 media agencies, accompanied and supported by more than 40 organizations and 60 multi-disciplinary experts, set up exhibition booths at the TECHFEST247 online platform with intensive support packages after the program.
