UNIVERSITY OF THE WEST OF ENLAND, BRISTOL, UK RE-SIGNED MOA WITH INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY

On June 30, 2022, International University (IU)- VNU-HCM signed a Memorandum Of Agreement with the University of the West of England (UWE). This is the 4th re-signing between the two universities to implement 9 Affiliate Programs, marking a new phase in IU and UWE’s strategic collaboration partnership.

Business Administration models 2+2 and 4+0; English Language and Linguistics models 2+2, 3+1, and 4+0; Information Technology models 2+2 and 4+0; Biotechnology model 2+2; Applied Biomedical Science 4+0 model; and Electronical Engineering model 2+2 are among the joint training programs offered by IU and UWE.

UWE Bristol was established in 1595 in Bristol, United Kingdom. According to the Times Higher Education ranking 2022, UWE is in the list of the top 500 institutions in the world and among the top 200 best young universities. At the same time, according to The Guardian, UWE is placed 7th among UK institutions in 2021. UWE received 77% of the total score in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2021, ranking 7th in the UK for student satisfaction with the program, and 9th in terms of student satisfaction on high training performance. UWE Bristol’s programs are designed to provide hands-on experiences, guided by experienced professors, a close-up perspective on students’ future professions.

IU and UWE have collaborated on training programs since 2005, and UWE is one of IU’s long-term partners. Since the initial 2+2 joint programs, IU and UWE have collaborated and shared information to develop programs with increasingly similar high-quality training, establishing the foundation for the implementation of 4+0 model affiliate programs in Business Administration, Information Technology, Applied Biomedical Science, and English Language and Linguistics. Furthermore, from the 2018-2019 academic year, IU and UWE have joined to deliver an intensive English program. Students who completed the program with an output standard equivalent to IELTS 6.0 can enroll in IU’s specialized study stage and register for an internationally recognized certification test.
