CALLS FOR APPLICATIONS FOR EXCHANGE PROGRAM AT SIIT - THAMMASAT UNIVERSITY, THAILAND 2022

International University – Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City would like to invite IU students to participate in the mobility program at Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, Thailand in Second semester, AY 2021 – 2022. The details are as follows:

1. Program details:

SIIT offers 9 international programs in Engineering, Technology and Management

• Chemical Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Industrial Engineering and Logistics System
• Mechanical Engineering
• Computer Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Management Technology
• Engineering Management

2. Program duration: 2^nd semester of AY 2021-2022 (10.1 – 21.5.2022)

• Letter of Application (Motivation Letter)
• Resume
• Transcript
• English Proficiency test score (TOEFL or IELTS, or an equivalent, or letter confirming applicant’s English proficiency)
• Recommendation letter from an academic advisor
• A copy of passport (1st page)

4. Estimate cost of living at SIIT (Approximately)

• Housing: 5,000 – 12,000 Baht/month
• Meal: 100-150 Baht/day
• 3,000-4,500 Baht/month
• Travel cost: Taxi start from 35 Baht (from downtown to the campus is about 300-400 Baht); Minivan 30-50 Baht/round (downtown – campus); Bus 10-45 Baht (depends on the distance)

**Students need to prepare approximately around 15,000 Baht/month

5. Related to COVID-19 situation in Thailand

• Upon arrival in Thailand, students are required to spend at least 14 days at a government certified accommodation (Alternative State Quarantine – ASQ) and self-isolate for an additional 1 week at their residences. Students must not come to SIIT campuses during the self-isolation period (for more information: https://bit.ly/3DtNZeh – Travel Advisory).
• Since all exchange students must be quarantined for 21 days (14 days at ASQ + 7days at dormitory), arrival at least 21 days prior to the first day of classes is required.
