INTRODUCTION:

The School of Biotechnology (BT) was founded in 2004 as one of the foremost schools of the International University (IU) – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM). Over the past two decades, BT stands as the second-largest unit of the university, with a team of distinguished faculty members who hold doctoral degrees from renowned universities worldwide. BT is equipped with a modern system of 18 laboratories to support research and teaching activities. The BT strives to provide advanced technical expertise, foreign language proficiency, strong lifelong learning skills, and adaptability to a globalized environment through its Biotechnology, Applied Chemistry (Biochemistry), and Food Technology programs. Both the Biotechnology and Applied Chemistry (Biochemistry) programs meet the accreditation standards of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ASIIN).

TRAINING PROGRAMS:

BT’s training programs are structured on advanced curricula that provide modern knowledge, practical skills, and necessary working skills for students. BT is committed to becoming a reputable research and training unit in the region and has developed close ties with prestigious universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, Europe, and major domestic enterprises. BT currently offers undergraduate, double degree, combined BS-MS, and postgraduate programs.
