8 NEW ASSOCIATE PROFESSORS OF INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY
On the evening of February 2 2024, International University (VNU-HCMC) officially held a ceremony to recognize 8 new Associate Professors of 6 schools and departments. These lecturers are recognized as meeting the standards for 2023 Associate Professor titles.
Accordingly, in 2023, 8 lecturers of the International University (IU) are recognized as Associate Professors, acknowledging their high achievements in scientific research, student guidance, and other standards in recent times. Among them, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tan Nhat – School of Business Administration – is the youngest titleholder (born in 1987).

At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Thang – President of IU – congratulated 8 new Associate Professors and expected that in the future they would continue to devote themselves to teaching and scientific research, contributing to the strong development of the school. The President also emphasised that for a university that is English-medium and aims to become research-oriented, faculty of distinguished professors and associate professors is a core factor for the development of that university. The Principal also hoped that the university would annually have more lecturers achieving accomplishments, and more meeting the standards for the titles of Associate Professor and Professor. Specifically, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Thang happily shared, “How fortunate that the first decision I signed upon taking up office of the President was the appointment to this prestigious title.”

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Minh Tri – Dean of School of Business – represented the titleholders to give a speech to express gratitude for the contributions of colleagues and students to their teaching and scientific research in particular, and to the 8 lecturers awarded the title of Associate Professor this year by the university. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Minh Tri also extended New Year wishes to all staff and employees of the university on the occasion of the upcoming Tet holiday, welcoming the Year of the Dragon.
