INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY SIGNED AN MOU IN COOPERATION WITH BINH THUAN PROVINCE
On September, 26th 2023, International University (VNU–HCMC) signed an MOU in cooperation with the Department of Science and Technology of Binh Thuan province. Following the agreement, two sides will cooperate in terms of training, scientific research, technological transfer, innovation exercises, as well as sustainable development.
Specifically, for years to come, the two parties will collaborate in implementing scientific and technological tasks, especially in promoting the application and transfer the result of scientific and technological research; developing the products as well as solving technology-related issues in line with Binh Thuan’s policies, resolutions, and action plan.
In addition, two parties will also jointly consult, transfer and receive the technological transfer to meet the demand of the market. This MOU also emphasises on the collaboration in certain fields, respectively biological technology, biomedical engineering, high-tech agriculture, food technology, civil engineering, automation, environmental engineering, digital transformation, ecotourism models, communities, festivals, etc.
Both parties exchanged information before signing the MOU.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Canh – Vice President of International University – shared: “In the framework of collaboration, two parties will proceed to organise training programs, professional training, management skills, scientific research for faculties, lecturers, and students of both parties. Both sides will also maximise an efficient exploitation of human resources, research and technological transfer from the panel, scientists as well as lecturers.
International University (IU) will organise visits for Binh Thuan and non-Binh Thuan units and individuals to gain experience from the research results, valuable scientific and technological application models that IU has researched and applied. From there, both sides will gradually connect the needs to bring the research results and products into practical application and to the market. In addition, there will be additional activities such as exhibiting scientific and technological products at fairs and exhibitions,” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Canh stated.

Both parties will cooperate in the field of intellectual property, start-up, and innovations; organise training programs, start-up training programs for faculties, staff, and students of both parties. Moreover, IU also offers opportunities to Binh Thuan students to participate in the competition “Binh Thuan Startup and Innovation Competition II, 2023-2024.”
