INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY SIGNED AN MOU IN COOPERATION WITH JABIL VIETNAM
On September, 26th 2023, International University (VNU–HCMC) officially signed an MOU with Jabil Vietnam Company Limited. Following the agreement, both parties will cooperate in sponsoring skills training programs and recruitments, aiming integrate IU’s training programs with Jabil’s practical operations. The MOU also brings the opportunities for International University students to strive for learning and self-improvement in order to contribute to enhance the educational quality of the university, as well as orient their future careers.
In the MOU, Jabil Vietnam became the Strategic Partner of International University – VNU HCMC in the academic year 2023-2024. Both parties will collaborate in skills training, implementation plans, programs on the basis of demands and abilities of the two sides. In addition, IU and Jabil will collaborate in organising seminars, conferences with mutual interest related topics. Students from the following schools and departments will be prioritised: Industrial Management, Industrial and System Engineering, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Machine Manufacturing Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Control Engineering and Automation, E–commerce, and International Business.

At the signing event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thien Khanh – Director of Human Resources at Jabil Vietnam – shared: “We will together with International University cooperate in the field of recruitment. Annually, we will announce our policies, conditions, standards, and recruitment plans. We are also willing to join the Job Fair hosted by IU. Moreover, we will annually introduce the recruitment programs of the company to seniors or to-be-graduated students with flying colours, and trained in majors that align with the company’s business activities for recruitment and training purposes.”
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thien Khanh – Director of Human Resources at Jabil Vietnam shared the desire for cooperation and specific plans of activities with IU.
In this cooperation, both parties will prioritise the field of communication and brand development. IU and Jabil mutually support each other in communication, marketing image, branding and programs, products that align with legal standards and the culture of the party.
Ms. Nguyen Vo Anh Thu – Head of Recruitment Department at Jabil Vietnam – expressed: “We will offer scholarships for International University and these granting of the scholarships will depend on the result of recruitment.We are willing to offer these scholarships if the chosen candidates are IU students, in order to ensure their living standard and nourish their learning spirit. The value of the scholarships depends on discussions, demands, and the programs at different times between IU and Jabil.”
The MOU focuses on field trips and internships. Annually, two parties agree to proceed field trips, internships, approve and prioritise sponsored students to intern at Jabil.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Canh – Vice President of International University – shared: “After the signing, International University will support Jabil to organise programs, exchange workshops, as well as field trips to offices, factories, internships at enterprise upon request and agreement between both parties. International University will assist in communicating recruitment, directly promoting company’s programs to students and faculties.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Canh – Vice President of International University – listened and demonstrated efforts to promote cooperation between IU and Jabil Vietnam.
At the signing, representatives from Schools of Business, Schools of Biotechnology, School of Industrial Engineering and Management shared sincere thoughts to the collaboration with the desire to bring more opportunities for the students in the future.
