INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY HOSTS PUBLIC LECTURE ON “ADVANCED ROCKET PROPULSION SYSTEMS AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE”
On the morning of October 16, 2024, International University (IU), a member of VNU-HCM, organized a public lecture titled “Advanced Rocket Propulsion Systems and Artificial Intelligence.” The session featured presentations by Professor Bruce Vũ and MSc. Đào Trung Thành. Professor Bruce Vũ, a former aerospace engineer at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center and currently a faculty member in the Department of Physics at IU, where provided Aerospace Engineering program, and MSc. Đào Trung Thành, Vice Director of the Academy of Blockchain and Artificual Intelligence Innovation (ABAII), shared their expertise on these critical fields. The lecture aimed to inspire and educate students and participants, fostering the growth of aerospace engineering in Vietnam.
The lecture attracted over 200 high school and university students from across Ho Chi Minh City.
The session began with an engaging presentation by MSc. Đào Trung Thành, who shared fascinating insights into the evolution and development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with high school and university students from IU. MSc. Thành also detailed the vast potential of AI through practical examples from everyday life.
MSc. Đào Trung Thành Vice Director of the Academy of Blockchain and Artificual Intelligence Innovation (ABAII), emphasized the importance and growth potential of AI.
Following the topic of artificial intelligence, Professor Bruce Vũ shared insights on the application of AI in rocket propulsion systems. He discussed current rocket engine technologies, their advantages and limitations, and proposed ideas for advanced engines and hypotheses. Professor Bruce also introduced the Aerospace Engineering (Big Data Analytics and Applications) program, highlighting its appeal to young enthusiasts passionate about space science and technology. The program focuses on satellite technology applications, including satellite signal and image processing, remote sensing and navigation technology, and big data analysis and applications.
Professor Bruce Vũ, a former aerospace engineer at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, iscurrently a faculty member in the Department of Physics at IU, which offers the Aerospace Engineering program. Heshared his expertise and insights with highschool and university students.
One of the highlights of the event was the enthusiastic participation of the high school and university students who attended the lecture. Not only did they attentively follow the lecture, but they also posed numerous thoughtful and unique questions to Professor Bruce Vũ and MSc. Đào Trung Thành. This demonstrated the growing interest among young people in artificial intelligence, advanced rocket systems, and the broader field of aerospace engineering in Vietnam.
