
DIALOGUE SEMINAR BETWEEN UNIVERSITY LEADERSHIP AND FACULTY AT INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY: NEW HOPES FOR THE FUTURE
On August 29, 2025, International University organized a seminar and dialogue between the university leadership and its faculty. This event aimed to deepen leaders’ understanding of faculty challenges and aspirations, while also considering their proposals and solutions to current issues. Through this initiative, the university aims to create a better environment for faculty, staff, and students to enjoy so that they can better develop their skills, and make greater contributions to the overall growth of the university and society.
In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lê Văn Thăng, President of International University, stated: “This seminar and dialogue offer us a valuable opportunity to come together for the open discussion of our challenges, and the solution of said challenges. Through this collective exchange, we aim to elevate the effectiveness and quality of our educational mission, especially in an era defined by global integration and international collaboration.”

The seminar took place at a time when International University was welcoming its new students from the class of 2025, thereby allowing for individuals and units across the university to receive updates on admissions activities and gain a clearer picture of the university’s overall operations. On behalf of the organizing committee, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lê Hồng Phú – Head of the Office of General Administration – presented a mid-year review report, evaluating the university’s performance in the first six months. This served as the foundation for carrying out the key objectives and tasks set for the remaining six months of 2025.

Prior to the seminar, a survey was conducted to gather faculty and staff feedback, ensuring that concerns could be addressed effectively during the dialogue. During the live dialogue, the university leadership continued to receive numerous questions, focusing on issues such as infrastructure development, policies for scientific research, branding and communications, the enhancement of commercial value for scientific and technological research and innovation, as well as matters related to rights, responsibilities, and support policies for doctoral candidates, alongside various allowances, subsidies, and professional benefits, etc.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Võ Thị Quý – Lecturer at the School of Economics, Finance and Accounting – proposed solutions and new directions for the university’s development.
Dr. Trần Thanh Tùng – Deputy Dean of the School of Computer Science and Engineering– shared the difficulties faced by lecturers regarding after-hours teaching plans, aimed at helping students graduate on time.
Prof. Phạm Văn Hùng – Head of the Office of Research and Development– directly addressed the questions concerning the procedures for registration, acceptance, and financial settlement of scientific research projects.
President Lê Văn Thăngresponded directly and provided appropriate solutions. He also emphasized that: “The University Leadership will consider the opinions of the faculty and staff, and will continue to innovate and further develop so that lecturers, staff, and employees can feel secure in teaching and conducting research. To achieve this, each individual and unit within the university must first coordinate and promptly address any issues that arise to avoid disrupting the process of teaching, learning, and research. At the same time, every individual should be ready to share difficulties, uphold self-discipline, and proactively improve efficiency—helping the university accomplish its strategic goals, generate practical value, and deliver effective outcomes through scientific research, technology transfer, and international collaboration.”
