INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY PARTICIPATES IN CBIE 2025 CONFERENCE

On November 2, 2025, the Vietnamese delegation attended the CBIE 2025 Conference, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thu Thủy, Director General of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Education and Training. International University (VNU-HCM) was honored to accompany the Vietnamese delegation throughout this important journey.

The CBIE Conference is recognized as Canada’s premier international education event. It brings together over 1,300 delegates—including international education experts, institutional leaders, and government representatives—from more than 50 countries. The program featured over 75 sessions, 60 exhibitors, and insightful talks from leading voices in global education.

In recent years, International University (VNU-HCM) has maintained strong and effective partnerships with several Canadian universities, focusing on academic exchanges, joint training programs, and student internships. Specifically, the university has been sending students from various disciplines to participate in exchange programs at York University, University of Regina, and Thompson Rivers University. Among them, 11 students have been awarded the Government of Canada SEED Scholarship with the value of 10,200 CAD per recipient for one semester. In addition, the university is currently implementing a 2+2 joint training program in Business Administration with Lakehead University and hosting internship students from the University of Victoria.

These collaborations with Canadian universities have significantly contributed to enhancing academic quality, broadening international learning and experiential opportunities for students, while also promoting academic exchange and laying the foundation for deeper and more sustainable partnerships in the future.

The CBIE 2025 Conference officially opened on November 2, 2025, with the “International Partnership Day” event. This special event was dedicated to networking and exchange activities among institutions and included country-specific sessions. Within this framework, the Vietnamese delegation participated in and presented during the Vietnam Country Spotlight Session, introducing the potential and opportunities for academic collaboration between Vietnam and Canada. The conference also provided dedicated spaces to facilitate in-depth discussions and meetings, creating favorable conditions for establishing and expanding partnerships with Canadian institutions. In addition, on the first day, the Vietnamese delegation held a meeting and discussion session with the Ministry of Education of Saskatchewan.

The conference continued with several important sessions on the morning of November 3, 2025, and will conclude on November 5, 2025, in Quebec, Canada.
