FINNOVATION 2022 – GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY FOR FINTECH STARTUP
With the means of technology, with young people as the core and with community interests and creative orientation, the FINNOVATION 2022 contest is officially created. With the goal of raising society’s awareness of innovation in the fields of financial technology and digital transformation, and building a growing startup community in the country, FINNOVATION is both an opportunity for the young and a mission for the leaders.
➤ Date: 15 April 2022 to 12 August 2022
➤ Participants: Vietnamese students studying at universities, colleges, and academies at home and abroad. Participants register to compete individually or in groups of no more than 5 members (students can cooperate with start-ups).
➤ Organizer: under the instruction of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, Hanoi National University, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City; the contest is organized by the Department of Market Development; Science and Technology Enterprises, Vietnam Student Development and Support Center, Youth Union of Ministry of Science
and Technology, Vietnam National University Hanoi Youth Union, VNU Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union.
➤ Platform: online or hybrid
➤ Advisors: Candidates will receive utmost support through the necessary skills training sessions as well as, direct professional advice
based on the test from a team of more than 30 leading experts in the fields of Fintech, Blockchain, Finance and Banking. The competition promises to give attendees knowledge and the opportunity to connect them with leading large enterprises and incubators to perfect their products in the most optimal way.
ROUNDS OF COMPETITION AND TENTATIVE ACTIVITIES
➤ Qualifying Round – FINITIATION (15/04/2022 – 15/06/2022)
➤ Training Round – FINCUBATION (20/06/2022 – 20/07/2022):
FinAdvance training series.
Mentoring training series with experts, investment funds and incubators.
Bootcamping in 2 days to practice project presentation skills.
➤ Final Round – FINTERGRATION
(25/07/2021 – 12/08/2021):
Project Pitching Round (25/07/2022 – 30/07/2022).
Investment Round (tentative) (07/08/2022 – 08/08/2022).
Final Night (12/8/2022).
AWARD STRUCTURE
➤ 01 First Prize: Certificate of Merit from the Central Vietnam Student Association, cash worth 50 million VND, gift equivalent to 50 million VND.
➤ 02 Second prizes, each prize includes: Certificate of Merit from the Central Vietnam Student Association, cash worth 25 million VND, gift equivalent to 25 million VND.
➤ 02 Third prizes, each prize includes: Certificate of Merit from the Central Vietnam Student Association, cash worth 15 million VND, gift equivalent to 15 million VND. Projects participating in the National Final round are introduced to receive investment, support, and advice on practical implementation in accordance with the needs of businesses
