International University, one of six member universities of Vietnam National University HCMC, is the first public university in Vietnam that uses English as the primary language in teaching and researching.

In 2017, the International University is currently offering a joint program with Northeastern University (USA) in Master of Science in Leadership and joint program with University of Hawaii at Manoa (USA) in Master of Business Administration (MBA)

A. Master of Science in Leadership:

This Master of Science in Leadership program aims to training young and dynamic business administrators, working in multinational corporations, enterprises, NGOs, Non-profit organizations, or even local authorities. 4. Training Program:
The total training period is 1 – 1.5 years with 12 courses:

  • 4 courses (12 credits) will be covered by lecturers at IU
  • 8 courses (24 credits) will be covered by lecturers at NU

5.1. Enrollment Candidates:

  • Vietnamese citizens or foreigners graduated in domestic or foreign universities

5.2. Form of enrollment:

  • Statement of purpose (500 – 1000 words): identifying your educational goals and expectations from the program; please aware that that University’s academic policy on plagiarism applies to applicant’s statement of purpose.
  • Resume: relevant experience and education history.
  • 2 letters of recommendation: from individual(s) with either academic or professional knowledge of your capabilities such as: a faculty member, current employer, mentor or colleague.
  • Official Bachelor’s degree transcript from an international recognized college or university stating degree conferral and date undergraduate transcript.
  • Proof of English language proficiency: Attendants must submit the certificate of TOEFL iBT 79 (or IELTS 6.5 equivalent) or pass the English preparation course (Bridging Program) delivered by International University.

5.3. Timeline:

  • Submission deadline: Until 31/10/2017
  • Orientation Session: 11/2017 (for applicants who don’t have IELTS or TOEFL iBT)

5.5. Tuition & Fees:

  • Tuition fee for the whole program: 13,973 USD, equal to 317,047,370 VND
  • Tuition fee of English course (in case of attendance): $300 (~6,807,000 VND)
  • Application fee: $50 (~1,134,500 VND)

7. Bridging Program:
Successful student have to attend the English course named Bridging Program before starting the academic courses except submitting the certificates of TOEFL iBT ≥ 79 or IELTS ≥ 6.5. These certificates must be obtained within two years between the date of certification and the date of application submission.

B. Master of Business Administration:

1. Reasons to choose the Master of Business Administration – The twinning program between International University (IU) and University of Hawaii (UH)

  • Minimum five years of post-baccalaureate, full time work experience
  • Proof of English language proficiency: Minimum TOEFL iBT 61 (or IELTS 5.5). Test scores must not be older than two years from the test date.
