INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY LAUNCHED STARTUP COMPETITION NAMED “IU STARTUP DEMO DAY 2023”

IU Startup Demo Day is an annual startup competition and one of the key programs of International University – VNU-HCM.

The competition aims at searching for potential projects to actualize the ideas and develop research products. This is also an opportunity for projects to connect and join the network with successful start-ups, experts, and investors.

This year, with the slogan “Let’s create our innovation journey!”, IU Startup Demo Day 2023, lasted from February 9th to May 27th, 2023. The competition is also to celebrate International University -VNU-HCM 20th anniversary (05/12/2003 – 05/12/2023) and the Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer’s 5th anniversary (2018-2023).

IU Startup Demo Day 2023 aims at participants from Fellows, Graduates, Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors Undergraduates, and start-ups. The contestants join the competition as a group,  of 3 to 5 students, in which participants outside of IU may take up at most 50% of the members.

Participating in the competition, the teams will take part in 3 rounds, namely Registration Round, Preliminary Round, and Final Round. The University also integrated into the event some Orientation Days, Trainings, Mentorings, and Pitchings with experts in various fields.

From 09/02/2023 to 12/3/2023, participating groups can register with some basic information regarding the project and the group via form. The total of the prizes is up to 65 million VND (cash and supporting package) with various fascinating support for potential projects after the competition.
