INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY LAUNCHES THE COMPETITION NAMED “THE LEADING AND DIRECTING ROLES OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY IN VIETNAMESE TRADE UNION PRACTICE THROUGH THE TIME”

To welcome the Trade Union Conference of International University (IU) for the term 2023-2028, IU’s Party Committee plans to launch the Competition named “The Leading and Directing Roles of the Communist Party in Vietnamese Trade Union Practice through the time”. The Organizers will be accepting individual and group submissions from 01/02/2023 to 20/03/2023.

All staff members, members of the Party Committee, officers, workers, members of the Youth Union, students, and learners of IU can participate in the competition. Among them, every Youth Union unit and division (Trade Union units, Students Youth Union and Officers-Lecturers Youth Union, Union of Students) must have at least 1 submission. Members of the Organizers and Judges will not participate in the competition.

Dr. Ho Nhut Quang – Secretary of the Party Committee, President of IU’s School Council, shared: “The competition is organized to execute Resolution 02 – NQ/TW, dated June 12^th, 2021 by the Ministry of Politics, which aims at building the strong Vietnamese Trade Union and the modern and prosperous Vietnamese workers class, meeting the needs of the new circumstances. Furthermore, the competition is to welcome the Trade Union Conference of IU for the term 2023-2028. Especially, the competition also allows staff members, members of the Party Committee, officers, workers, members of the Youth Union, students, and learners to profoundly and holistically acknowledge the leading and directing roles of the Communist Party in Vietnamese Trade Union Practice through the time.”

All submissions must be in Vietnamese, in the form of 1500-to-2500-word prose (with images if any). Submissions must be hand-typed texts with clear organization on one single A4 page (including illustrations), in Times New Roman font and 14 font size. Details of the author (either individuals or divisions) and the essay name must be stated clearly on the submission’s first page. Upon submission, the authors are required to ensure and take responsibility for the validity and accuracy of the historical figures, events, and the content of their writing.

The Organizers would also like to remind the participants that their writings must meet the required content based on the competition’s regulations (the leading and directing roles of the Communist Party in Vietnamese Trade Union Practice through the time). The writings must ensure validity and accuracy, with appropriate political views. The writing must have a positive influence in spreading the process of building the strong Vietnamese Trade Union and the modern and prosperous Vietnamese workers’ class, meeting the needs of the new circumstances.

Participants should take notes that eligible writings are those that meet the mentioned requirements and are submitted to the Organizers within the deadline (01/02/2023 to 28/02/2023).

The prizes, including 01 First Prize (1 million VND), 01 Second Prize (800000 VND), 01 Third Prize (500000 VND), and 03 Consolation Prize (300000 VND), will be awarded on March 30^th, 2023.
