INTERNATIONAL UNVERSITY HELD THE CONFERENCE OF OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2022-2023
On November 17th, 2022, International University (VNU-HCM) held the Conference of Officers and Employees for the academic year 2022-2023. The Conference enabled all officers and employees to reflect on the activities and practices of the academic year 2021-2022, and to put forward the orientations and missions of the academic year 2022-2023. In particular, the University also celebrated the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (20/11/1982 – 20/11/2022).
The Conference was honored to welcome Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Hai Quan (Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of VNU-HCM), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Tu (Chief of Staff of VNU-HCM), members of the Party Committee of the School Council, Board of Directors, and more than 157 IU officers and employees.
The Conference began with the performances that the lecturers, officers, employees, and IU students had prepared wholeheartedly. The performances brought to the day many soothing moments and the energy to start the ceremony.

The Committee’s Board of Directors consists of 4 members: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Tien Khoa – President of IU, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Canh – Vice-President of IU, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Duc Anh Vu – Vice-President of IU, Ms. Hoang Van M.S. – Chairman of the Trade Union of IU. The Conference also selected 2 members as the Committee’s Secretary: Dr. Trinh Quoc Dat – Dean of School of Economics, Finance, and Accounting and Ms. Nguyen Thi My Linh M.A. – Deputy Head of Office of Human Resources Management.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Tien Khoa – President of IU – on behalf of The Committee’s Board of Directors, coordinated the Conference of Officers and Employees 2022-2023.
During the official session, the Conference discussed the following reports: The Summary Report for the Academic year 2021-2022, The Orientations and Missions Report for the Academic year 2022-2023, The Financial Report for the Academic year 2021-2022, changes to The Draft on the Internal Spendings Regulations, The summary Report on the activities of the People’s Inspection Committee for 2021-2022 and operational directions for 2022-2023, and the Report on the operation results and monitoring results of the School Council.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Duc Anh Vu – Vice-President of IU, presented the Summary Report for the Academic year 2021-2022.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Canh – Vice-President of IU, presented The Orientations and Missions Report for the Academic year 2022-2023.
Ms. Le Dang Thuy Trang M.A. – Deputy Head of Office of Finance and Planning, presented the Financial Report for the Academic year 2021-2022, and changes to The Draft on the Internal Spendings Regulations.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thao – Head of the People’s Inspection Committee, presented The summary Report on the activities of the People’s Inspection Committee for 2021-2022 and operational directions for 2022-2023.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Head of the School Council’s Supervisors Committee presented the Report on the operation results and monitoring results of the School Council.
The Conference also rewarded the excellent individuals of the Academic year 2021-2022. Then, the next report summarized the comments to the school gathered from the Conference of Officers and Employees of other units’ Trade Union. Moreover, the Conference recorded the comments and resolved relevant questions.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Tien Khoa – President of IU, delivered flowers and the Certificates of Achievement by the Minister of the Ministry of Education and Training to the individuals with excellent achievements in the academic year 2021-2022.

Assoc. Prof. Tran Tien Khoa – President of IU, delivered flowers and the Certificates of the Emulative Employee at Ministry level to 7 individuals with outstanding achievements from the academic year 2018-2019 to the academic year 2020-2021.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hong Phu – Head of the Office of General Administration, presented the comments to the school from the Conference of Officers and Employees of other units’ Trade Union.
During the final session, the Conference elected members of the People’s Inspection Committee and published the results. Accordingly, the People’s Inspection Committee of IU for the 2023-2025 term consists of: Dr. Tran Thanh Tu – Lecturer of School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thao M.A. – Deputy Head of Office of Quality Assurance and Testing, and Dr. Vo Tan Phuoc – Vice-Dean of School of Electrical Engineering.
Ms. Hoang Van M.A. – Chairman of the Trade Union of IU, ran the election for the People’s Inspection Committee for the 2023-2025 term.

Upon closing the Conference of officers and employees for the academic year 2022-2023 of IU, Dr. Trinh Quoc Dat, on behalf of the Committee’s Secretary, passed the Conference Resolution.
