IU celebrates Rooster Lunar New Year 2017 by holding Tree-planting ceremony

In the morning of February 6 2017, IU warmly celebrated the Rooster Lunar New Year by planting many new trees around its campus.

In the opening ritual of the ceremony, Dr. Ho Thanh Phong – Rector and  Secretary of Communist Commitee of IU – claimed that Tree-planting is a traditional activity being held with an aim to achieve a green-clean-beautiful IU campus. Besides, the act of planting trees when Spring comes raises awareness of living in harmony and protecting surrounding environment for all IU’s falcuties and staff.
