
PUBLIC TALK 2025 KICKS OFF WITH THE TOPIC “THE ROLE OF MARKETING IN THE DIGITAL ENVIRONMENT”
On the morning of June 16, 2025, International University (VNU-HCM) officially launched its 2025 Public Talk series with the opening topic titled “The Role of Marketing in the Digital Environment.” The event attracted 180 high school students from Nguyen Huu Huan High School and Duong Van Thi High School.
In addition to the main discussion program, students had the opportunity to explore several of the university’s key and modern laboratories. Notably, in the Faculty of Biotechnology, students listened attentively to engaging presentations by lecturers in a state-of-the-art lab, and even had hands-on experience using lab equipment and testing research outputs from the department.

After the tour, the students attended the Public Talk session on “The Role of Marketing in the Digital Environment.” The session was led by Dr. Nguyen The Man– Lecturer at the School of Business Administration, International University. In the context of rapid digital transformation, digital marketing has become an inevitable trend, playing a crucial role in connecting businesses with customers, especially Generation Z. Dr. Nguyen emphasized that digital marketing is not merely a tool but a comprehensive strategy based on technology, content, data, and user experience. According to Dr. Man, Gen Z is the driving force behind the shift in customer engagement approaches, as this demographic favors speed, personalization, and real-time interaction. The effective application of digital marketing can help expand market reach, enable real-time performance measurement, support automation, and facilitate personalized AI integration.
Nguyen The Man – Lecturer at the Faculty of Business Administration – presented a lecture on marketing, a field that, while not new, plays a vital role in today’s context.
The event took place in an energetic atmosphere, with students eagerly posing interesting questions.

The public lecture and expert talk series, held annually by the International University, aims to provide valuable insights into career paths and future trends, helping high school and university students in Ho Chi Minh City and nearby provinces gain accurate perspectives for making informed career choices aligned with their passions and capabilities.
Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Duy Phuong – Head of External Relations at International University – shared: “The 2025 Public Talk series will begin in June and continue throughout the year, featuring a variety of engaging topics presented by faculty members from different departments. All are committed to providing students with accurate knowledge of various professions so they can form appropriate career orientations in alignment with their individual passions and strengths.
Throughout 2025, International University will continue to host regular public seminars, conferences, and topic-focused workshops to provide useful and up-to-date information, and to apply advanced scientific and technical knowledge, contributing to the enhancement of human resource quality for society.
