SEOUL INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL 2018 – RECRUITING VISITING PROFESSORS
1. Program: Seoul International Summer School
2. Program Duration: : 26/06 – 27/07/2018
3. Eligibility:
- Degree: Ph.D. only
- Position: Professor or equivalent level currently appointed at accredited university
- Preference: 3 or more years of experience of teaching in English or equivalent level.
4. Applicant Responsibility:
- Teaching one of the undergraduate courses in English (listed below)
- Target group: sophomores or
- Total number of teaching hours: 45 hours (3 hours/day for 15 days)

8. Other information:
- No teaching assistant provided
- 1 class = 45 class (teaching) hours (including mid-term and final exams)
- Classes start on June 28, 2018 and end on July 26, 2018. However, all the SISS faculty members are required to attend faculty orientation which will be held on June 27, 2018. Grading should be completed within 1 week after the classes end and faculty members are required to remain in contact with their students for about 2 weeks after the program to reply to possible appeals on grades.
- On-campus and off-campus housing with kitchen is available for your own expenses (around 1,000,000 Korean won per month depending on the room type available during the program). For the limitation of on-campus housing (International House) you shall be allocated to off-campus housing. Housing is offered by first-come, first-served basis.
- Salary (9,000 USD) is paid by Korean won on the exchange rate of a designated day during the program. Each professor is required to have a bank account in Korea. If a professor does not have one, UOS will help open an account at the on-campus bank. Salary shall be paid only after the program starts.
- SISS faculty members are welcomed to join extracurricular activities which are held in Seoul, free of charge.
