FOUR MORE MASTER’S PROGRAMS AT INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY EARN ASIIN ACCREDITATION
Recently, four additional master’s degree programs of the International University (VNU-HCM) officially received accreditation by ASIIN (Accreditation Agency for Degree Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics – Federal Republic of Germany). This new achievement raises the university’s total number of ASIIN-accredited IU programs to 16.
The four newly accredited programs are:
- Master’s in Information Technology (School of Computer Science and Engineering);
- Master’s in Electronic Engineering (School of Electrical Engineering);
- Master’s in Food Technology (School of Biotechnology – Department of Food Technology);
- Master’s in Biotechnology (School of Biotechnology).
The rigorous external evaluation for the four Master’s degree programs was conducted by the ASIIN Accreditation Council from February 18 to 21, 2025. Based on the assessment of the self-evaluation reports, supporting evidence, and in-depth interviews with faculty members, students, alumni, and employers, ASIIN officially recognized that all four programs fully met international quality standards and granted accreditation valid until July 18, 2026. As a result, International University now has 5 ASIIN-accredited master’s programsout of a total of 11 offered. Additionally, the university currently has 19 undergraduate programs accredited by prestigious international accreditation organizations. This latest success reaffirms International University’s strong commitment to high-quality education, not only at the undergraduate level but also in graduate and postgraduate training.

Looking ahead, the programs will continue to submit periodic improvement reports as required. If all recommendations are satisfactorily addressed, the accreditation period may be extended until September 30, 2030—the maximum duration permitted under ASIIN’s regulations.
This achievement is not only a proud milestone but also serves as a solid foundation for International University to further expand international collaboration programs, attract high-quality students, and train a highly qualified workforce to support the country’s development.
