INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY’S “GARDEN OF GRATITUDE”: CELEBRATINGTHE 43RD VIETNAMESE TEACHERS’ DAY
On the afternoon of November 20, 2025, in a solemn and heartfelt atmosphere, International University held the ceremony to celebrate the 43rd Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20, 1982 – November 20, 2025), expressing deep gratitude to the university’s faculty and staff.
Under the theme “Garden of Gratitude” — a concept rich in symbolism and beauty —International University aimed to create a warm space to share with all teachers, those who have been tirelessly dedicating themselves to the noble mission of education.
The Gratitude Garden features newly planted saplings, symbolizing the young generation aspiring to grow — students as well as young staff striving and gradually maturing along their chosen career paths. In this garden, the larger, fully grown trees represent the experienced faculty and staff who have devoted their lives to the journey of education.

The opening performance of the ceremony featured a musical act by the Faculty of Languages, which won top prizes at the IU Idol 2025 contest: “Mashup Mẹ yêu con – Lên Đàng – Còn gì đẹp hơn.”
Every staff member at the university is like a unique flower, contributing color and fragrance to create the vibrant tapestry that is International University. The young shoots, nurtured and cared for by the hands, hearts, and wisdom of those who came before, continue the mission of cultivating and passing on the light of knowledge to future generations. How these young shoots grow and flourish largely depends on how they are tended today.

Assoc. Prof. Lê Văn Thăng – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the International University – shared these thoughts during the ceremony on the afternoon of November 20, 2025.
Beyond being illuminators of knowledge and potential, teachers are sources of inspiration through their positive attitude, courage, and sense of responsibility. Teachers are not merely instructors; they impart to students moral valuesand the qualities of a grateful heart. It is this moral foundation that continually honors the teacher-student relationship.

Nguyễn Hồng Ánh Tuyết, a fourth-year student from the Faculty of Business Administration, spoke on behalf of over 10,000 students, learners, and graduate students of International University, expressing gratitude during the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day celebration.
