INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY WELCOMES NEW VICE RECTOR
On July 10, 2020, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Thanh Dat – Chancellor of VNU-HCM – awarded the Decision to appoint Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Duc Anh Vu to hold the position of Vice Rector of International University (VNU-HCM).

The ceremony was held at the main campus of International University with the attendance of the Board of Presidents, Personnel Department of VNU-HCM. There were also the Board of Rectors, leaders of the offices and the lecturers of International University, along with the representatives of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.
Assoc. Huynh Thanh Dat – President of VNU-HCM – said that he hoped the International University would gain greater achievements when the Board of Rectors was completed.
The decision to appoint the new Vice Rector of the International University was signed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Thanh Dat – President of VNU-HCM – on June 12, 2020. Accordingly, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Duc Anh Vu will hold the position of Vice Rector, which helps to complete the organizational structure of the Board of Rectors of International University, including a Rector and three Vice Rectors.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Duc Anh Vu was born in 1972 in Phu Tho. He holds a PhD in Microelectronics at Grenoble Polytechnic Institute (France). Before this appointment, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Duc Anh Vu had worked for many years in the field of education such as Lecturer in Information Technology at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (1995 – 1997), Vice Dean of School of Computer Science & Engineering at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vice Rector of University of Information Technology (September 2012 – September 2016), Head of Department of Undergraduate Studies at VNU-HCM (from September 2016).

In the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Thanh Dat – President of VNU-HCM has praised the development of International University in the recent years and expressed his trust that Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Duc Anh Vu would contribute all the intellect and strength to International University as he did for 25 years with VNU-HCM.

International University is one of the 7 member universities under VNU-HCM. Founded in December 2003, the International University is the first public university to use English as the medium in teaching and research. The university currently has 19 undergraduate programs, 08 masters programs and 04 doctoral programs. International University has been accredited by Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and ASEAN Universities Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA). 12 programs of International University have been accredited by AUN-QA while 2 programs have been accredited by ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology).
