
OVER 1,820 NEW ENGINEERS, BACHELORS, MASTERS, AND DOCTORATES GRADUATED FROM INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY IN 2025
On November 28 and 29, 2025, International University (IU) held its 2025 Undergraduate and Graduate Commencement Ceremony. A total of 1,708 undergraduate students, 99 master’s candidates, and 14 PhD candidates from 12 faculties and departments officially became new engineers, bachelor’s degree holders, master’s graduates, and doctorates at IU’s 19th Commencement Ceremony.
As of November 2025, after 19 undergraduate cohorts and 12 graduate cohorts, IU has trained 12,701 bachelors and engineers, along with 1,198 master’s and doctoral graduates. The university continues to affirm its strength in training a high-quality workforce. This marks the sixth consecutive year IU has awarded doctoral degrees. Notably, this year IU celebrates 14 new PhD graduates, the highest number in its history, equivalent to the total number of PhD graduates from the previous four years combined. It is also the first year IU confers PhD degrees in Public Management and Biomedical Engineering.

Among the 1,708 new bachelors and engineers, 322 graduates completed the 4+0 joint program with University of the West of England, and 20 graduates completed the 4+0 program with Andrews University.
In 2025, IU awarded distinction honors to 24 students from IU’s own programs, graduating with Excellent classification. 33 students from affiliated programs graduated with First Class (Excellent). The university also awarded five Gold Medals to the most outstanding graduates and presented commemorative medallions to affiliated program students achieving First Class (Excellent) honors.

This year, International University has 468 students graduating with Excellent and Very Good classifications, including 435 students earning a Very Good degree from programs directly awarded by the University. The University also honored the valedictorian, Hồ Vũ Hoàng Khoa, a new graduate in Biotechnology, who achieved an impressive cumulative GPA of 93.4/100 (Excellent)—the highest in the university. In addition, Đặng Thị Minh Anh, a graduate in the Business–Management discipline with a GPA of 91/100, earned the Gold Medal and was also recognized as the top graduate of the Business–Management group. The University further awarded 28 Silver Medals to 28 new bachelors and engineers from 12 faculties and departments, all of whom achieved Excellent or Very Good graduation results.

Among the 14 doctoral candidates and graduate students completing their programs in 2025, many achieved outstanding scientific research results. One of them is Ms. Lê Trần Mỹ An, M.Sc. – Biomedical Engineering – who graduated with a Gold Medal, earning an impressive 98.1/100 cumulative score. She is the first author of one prestigious international journal article (Category 1, SCImago Q1) and co-author of two additional Category 1, SCImago Q1 international journal articles. Notably, she is also the first author of one full paper in an international conference proceeding indexed in SCOPUS, and co-author of five full papers in SCOPUS-indexed international conference proceedings.

Another standout graduate is Ms. Nguyễn Liên Bội Linh, M.Sc. – Biotechnology, who also earned a Gold Medal, achieving a cumulative score of 97.1/100. Her academic record is equally impressive: she is a co-author of three ISI-equivalent journal articles in SCImago’s Q1 list and one ISI-equivalent article in Q4. She is the first author of a full paper published in the proceedings of a peer-reviewed national scientific conference with an ISBN, and the co-author of another full paper in the proceedings of a national peer-reviewed conference with an ISBN. Additionally, she is the first author of a domestic journal article listed in the category of journals recognized for research point evaluation by the national and interdisciplinary Professor Council.

In the Business – Management group, two outstanding graduates earned Gold Medals: Ms. Nguyễn Lan Chi, M.Sc. – Public Management, with a cumulative score of 83.8/100, and Ms. Lý Minh Châu, M.Sc. – Business Administration, with a cumulative score of 87.7/100.

The doctoral graduates of the International University this year have achieved remarkable research outcomes, collectively publishing 75 scientific papers. Among these, 27 are classified as Scopus Q1, 10 as Q2, and 14 as Q3–Q4. These results bring the average number of international publications per PhD graduate to 5.3 papers (including an average of 3.6 Scopus-indexed papers per graduate), far exceeding the minimum graduation requirement of two publications. This achievement not only highlights the strong scientific research capability of the doctoral candidates but also reflects their dedication and commitment to disseminating their findings in reputable international journals, contributing significantly to the university’s academic reputation and affirming its position in postgraduate education.

Notably, Dr. Trương Thị Thanh Bình, majoring in Public Management, distinguished herself with a score of 84.1/100 and received commendation as the first author of 5 high-impact international journal papers indexed in Scopus Q1 and Q2. She is also the first author of 2 full papers presented at international conferences. Dr. Lê Thu Hằng, majoring in Business Administration, is the first author of 5 high-impact international journal papers indexed in WoS/Scopus (4 papers in Scopus Q1 and Q2) and co-author of 2 additional papers in Scopus Q1 and Q2 journals. She received commendation with a graduation score of 87.8/100. Dr. Vũ Thanh Bình, majoring in Biomedical Engineering, graduated with an excellent score of 93.1/100. He is the first author of 4 international papers indexed in ISI Q1 and Q2, the first author of 3 domestic full papers at international conferences, and a co-author of 15 reputable domestic and international papers, 9 of which are in ISI Q1 and Q2 journals. Dr. Phạm Lê Nhật Minh, who completed a PhD in Biotechnology, achieved an impressive score of 93.7/100. He is the first author of 2 international journal papers indexed in Scopus and the first author of 10 domestic papers included in the scoring list of the National Professorship Council across relevant disciplines.

Since 2012, most graduates of the university have secured employment immediately after graduation. On average, depending on the major, about 95% of graduates find jobs relevant to their field within one year. Among employed graduates, around 28% work for foreign companies or corporations, and 35% work for companies with foreign elements or international partnerships. According to employer evaluations, 94% are satisfied with the quality of education provided by the university. Additionally, many graduates have received scholarships for further studies or positions as research students at overseas universities, achieving notable research accomplishments. Some alumni have also returned to the university as young lecturers.

Ngọc Lê Nguyễn Bảo, a Bachelor from the Business Administration program in partnership between International University and University of Western Australia (UWE, UK), received her diploma alongside her mother during the graduation ceremony on the morning of November 29, 2025.
Intending to train high-level professionals in the fields of economics, management, engineering, and science & technology, International University (IU) not only invests in undergraduate education but also emphasizes postgraduate training and research. Currently, the university offers five doctoral programs over three years in Biotechnology, Business Administration, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Systems Engineering, and Public Administration, as well as ten master’s programs over two years in Business Administration, Biotechnology, Information Technology Management, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Systems Engineering, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Biomedical Engineering, Public Administration, and Food Technology. Among these, three master’s programs—Biotechnology, Industrial Systems Engineering, and Business Administration—have achieved accreditation under the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) standards. Five master’s programs—Biotechnology, Food Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology, and Electronics Engineering—have met the standards of ASIIN. In addition, the master’s program in Public Administration has obtained accreditation from the MOET (Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam).
