SPECIAL TALKING SESSION ON "THE LIFE AND CAREER OF PRESIDENT HO CHI MINH" AND AWARDS CEREMONY FOR THE WRITING COMPETITION ON "THE POSITION, ROLE, HISTORICAL AND TIME VALUES ON THE DIEN BIEN PHU VICTORY”

On the morning of May 18, 2022, the International University’s Party Committee held a thematic talking session on “The life and career of President Ho Chi Minh” and organized the awards ceremony for the writing contest on “The position, role, historical significance and epochal value of the Dien Bien Phu victory”. MSc. Nguyen Minh Hanh – Former Dean of the Faculty of Communist Party Construction, Ho Chi Minh City Academy – is the main rapporteur for this conference.

Celebrating the 132th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890-19/5/2022), the Party Committee of International University held a talk on “The life and career of President Ho Chi Minh”. By means of touching and authentic stories, the meaningful and helpful activity is said to help propagate the Party members and the union members about revolutionary ideals, arouse national pride, emulate, study and follow President Ho Chi Minh with determination.

The Party Committee of International University intended to organize this special talk not only to propagate the background and glorious revolutionary activities of President Ho Chi Minh, but also to honor his great contributions to the country and Vietnamese Communist Party, with the Communist Revolution in particular. The thematic talk was conducted in the hope of partly expressing the great respect and gratitude of the Vietnamese people as well as the love and respect of people around the world for President Ho Chi Minh.

Attending the talk were comrades, party units,all party members from the Party Committee of International University, comrades from the Executive Committee of the Trade Union and the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

Comrade Ho Nhut Quang – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the School Council, spoke at the beginning of the program.

The ceremony also announced awards for the online writing contest on the topic “The position, role, historical significance and epochal value of the Dien Bien Phu Victory”. The contest was widely held and  mobilized a large number of party members to participate with 18 entries. The contest did not only produce practical content and served the requirements of propaganda, but also met the needs of International University’s party members to learn about the historic Dien Bien Phu victory.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dinh Duc Anh Vu – Vice Rector of International University – and Assoc. Le Van Canh – Vice Rector of International University – presented certificates and awards to candidates winning Consolation prizes.

Party members with excellent performances were rewarded and desired to encourage and create energetic movement in learning, researching and understanding history about heroic examples willing to sacrifice themselves for the cause of national liberation and national reunification.

The contest resulted in 7 prizes including one first prize, one second prize, two 3rd prizes and three consolation prizes.
