Nội dung bài trình bày:

Geometric modeling is an important field of research since all the manufactured objects, medical applications, animation movies, earth modeling, object reconstructions …. are based on geometric modeling. It uses mathematical theories and tools, but this research is clearly part of computer science. Moreover, the advances in geometric modeling lead to a need of results belonging to different fields of research in computer science.

The goal of this talk is, through many examples, to emphasize the challenges in geometric modeling and to analyze the connections they have with different aspects in computer science research. No background in geometric modeling is required to understand this talk.

All audiences with majors in information technology, mathematics, and other majors in technology are welcome to follow the talk.
